WARNING SIGNS:
YOU FEEL THAT YOU CAN’T LEARN MORE OR EVOLVE
Do you feel that you can no longer evolve or learn more at the skill or career level? Have you met the proposed goals, given new inputs, new strategies, dedicated yourself with all possible effort and still not being valued or recognized? This is one of the indicators that needs to change. Being rewarded based on your effort is necessary to feel fulfilled.
SALARY IS NO LONGER COMPETITIVE
Your salary is no longer competitive: keep an eye on the market, prospect on Linkedin, on salary tables, talk to your peers, etc. If your salary is not adequate for the roles and responsibilities you have and has not been updated for a long time, with no prospects for increase, these are factors indicating that it is not worth continuing.
YOU FEEL UNMOTIVATED OR DEPRESSED
Does going to work cause you anxiety and stress? Do you find it difficult to fall asleep and wake up tired and unwilling to get up every day? Do you find that your mood worsens whenever you think about your work? Are you counting the hours you need to leave? These are the first signs that something is not right. Stress influences your mood and your immune system and can significantly impair your performance at work.
YOU NO LONGER IDENTIFY WITH THE COMPANY'S CULTURE
Do you notice that your perception of the company has changed and that your confidence in the project and values of the company has decreased? Do you not identify with the options that the organization has taken? Maybe it is time to start a new challenge in a new company in which you can believe.
YOU FEEL INVISIBLE
Do you feel that your opinions and contributions are not considered? Is your team not cohesive and aligned towards a common goal? Do you feel left out?
It’s very important to feel like a valued member of the team and the professional environment is friendly, productive and challenging. When this is no longer happening despite your efforts, it may be the timing to look for a new project to make a difference.
